Hot tapping

Hot tapping is a process by which a nozzle or hot tap saddle is added to a pressurized pipeline to allow flow into or out of the pipeline, install instruments, sampling probes or to install an inflatable pipe plug.

Line stopping

Line Stopping is IMR means of isolating a piping system to prevent unwanted shutdowns and keeping critical piping and pipeline systems online during tie-ins, relocations, repairs, retrofits, and routine maintenance. This process serves as a control, or temporary valve, that can be removed after alterations or valve replacements have been made.

Clamping

This is a single section repair clamp which provides an economic and permanent method of repairing damaged pipes, from pin-hole leaks to full 360° circumferential breaks. The clamp is lightweight and easy to handle and is available in a wide range of sizes.

IMR only utilise clamps with WAFFLE GASKET with fine ridges of which mould themselves to cracks and irregularities in the damaged pipe ensuring a reliable and permanent repair.

Pigging

Cleaning and inspecting the pipeline. This is accomplished by inserting the pig into a ‘pig launcher’ (or ‘launching station)
